Special Notes
You can now recycle used carpet thanks to the nonprofit Carpet America Recovery Effort (www.carpetrecovery.org). You might try contacting the Foam Recycling Center in Raleigh, 452-8070. According to a recent (2007) Independent Weekly article, carpet recycling costs about 5 to 25 cents per pound.
